Polyethylene is a crystalline thermoplastic and belongs to the group of polyolefins.
HDPE is the abbreviation for High Density Polyethylene. HDPE plastic is a stiff, strong and opaque water-repellent plastic.
These plates are at Plastic Forte Belgium available in different colours (natural/white, black and blue), dimensions and thicknesses.
It is one of the most sustainable plastics produced. HDPE is fully recyclable and has a long life. At the end of its life, it can also be melted.
HDPE is resistant to sunlight (UV) and other weather conditions and can be used permanently outdoors. HDPE - Polyethylene does not absorb moisture, is even moisture-repellent and can be used at temperatures from -30°C to +80°C.
The material has an Apolar surface and therefore cannot be glued. HDPE is one of the most widely used plastics in the industry thanks to its excellent price-quality ratio.
