At Kunststof Forte Belgium, you will always find the suitable transparent acrylic round bar. Primo® XT transparent acrylic round bars are made of extruded clear acrylic.
These are available in outside diameters 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm. The standard length is 2 metres. Would you like a different length? Then contact us and, if required, it can be ordered in a different size.
In addition to the round bar transparent XT, we also have the Versato® GS transparent acrylic rodat Plastic Forte Belgium. These are optically purer than extruded rods and are especially suitable for optical applications. XT rods, on the other hand, are cheaper but may contain extrusion lines.
Applications
The acrylic transparent round bar XT is used in various industries and applications. They serve perfectly in, for example, decors, displays, machine parts and models.
Round rods are also often used in the lighting industry, but it is better to use cast acrylic for this. This is because cast acrylic has better lighting properties than extruded acrylic.
Processing options
These acrylic rods are also easy to machine but meanwhile also rigid and strong. Anyone with some experience working with acrylic can easily work the rods themselves.
This can be done in various ways: sawing, milling, hot bending, gluing, drilling, polishing, sanding and lettering.
